This minimal-intervention expression of a traditional Alentejo white field blend is at once extremely drinkable and wildly fascinating. Made from a blend indigenous Portuguese white grapes which vary depending on the vintage, this wine undergoes a slow spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with extended lees contact which contributes to a textural richness in the wine that underpins the wide range of fruit flavors that the varietal blend provides. The slightly higher elevation and cool winds that persist in the region around Estremoz contribute to a bright and persistent acidity and the marble-rich limestone soils contribute minerality that is a marker of the wines from this region.
