This wine is a light-bodied blend of some of the most historic varietals planted at Bodegas de Santo Tomás, representing an effort on the part of the winemaker to pay reverence to the founding of the Misión de Santo Tomás de Aquino in 1791 that would eventually become Bodegas de Santo Tomás. The wine highlights the significance of the Misión grape, one of the oldest varietals planted in the New World and an integral part of the viticultural heritage of both Mexico and later the United States. Misión Tinto is light-bodied and youthful while still offering aromas and flavors that are rich in nuance and complexity making the wine both approachable and versatile for pairing with food.
